COVID-19 Measures at KMS

The world has been affected greatly by the coronavirus pandemic. KMS has been in touch with and is ensuring that we follow all the rules and regulations as set by the Ministry of Health to ensure that the school is safe.
Whilst there is no case yet of the virus is still not yet confirmed in Uganda, nearby areas have been affected.
Below are the measures that will be taken by Kampala Music School;
Access of premises

All entry points at the school will be provided with sanitizers and all areas for washing hands will be accessible to all people both staff and non-staff. |
Cleaning
|
Normal cleaning routine will be done with disinfectant and sanitizers will be provided at entry points. |
Sessions at School
|
Both students and teachers are encouraged to wash/sanitise before and after lessons.
Students with any symptoms of illness will not be allowed on premises. |
Home teaching
|
This will be by mutual understanding between the teacher and parent/student. |
Concerts | All public events/concerts and gatherings have been postponed until further notice. |
Group rehearsals
|
Rehearsals for orchestras, choirs and different groups have been postponed until further notice. |
Staff | A Staff member with any symptoms of illness shall not attend work. |
Canteen | The service provider will maintain good hygiene of the place where they are cooking food from and ensure reduced direct handling of food by use of gloves. |
Communication
|
We shall communicate further through the use of email, social media, (Including WhatsApp, Twitter and Facebook) and the notice board |
KMS expects that one to one teaching on-premises will continue with the necessary precautions.
We will continue to coordinate with the Ministry of Health to determine safe protocols for whether we will close the school or not and we will let you know on what the final decision will be as we go along.
