Dickens is a voice teacher and he also teaches piano, bass guitar and flute. His primary style is classical but he also loves native and contemporary. Puccini, Verdi, Donizetti and Mozart are his favorite composers and his favorite performers are Placcido, Pavaroti and careras. Una furtiva and Ladona emobile. He has worked with Sauti ya Africa, Kaz Kasozi, KSO and KMS Jazz band performing for state functions, delegates both in Uganda and abroad. Dickens thinks music is a subject that is known to be medicinal and helps one to build, gain confidence and self-esteem to encounter life. It also builds a strong foundation for future musicians that will come after. His view on learning music is it changes perceptions, attitudes towards music and Uganda as a whole.
